WELCOME TO INDIA DAY HOME
A volunteer organization India Day Team was established in 2005 to bring together all of the cultural associations around Greater Sacramento to celebrate Indian Independence Day. The goal was to unite various organizations as well as co-ordinate the cultural, educations social, economic and community affairs of people of Asian Indian origin in Sacramento. With the support of all the cultural organizations, and the growing Indian community, the India Day team defines the presence of the Indian community in the Greater Sacramento Region. India Day team works to involve all generations of Indians in activities involving social and cultural exchange. The current leaders of each organization are part of the team for the respective years. This team represents a forum for Indians living in the Greater Sacramento Area to interact with the local community and continue to keep the cultural traditional richness of India alive and growing in the hearts and minds of children. India day is celebrated with a cultural extravanza presented by the various organizations that are a part of the India Day organizing committee. This event is a showcase of all the best the various cultural organizations have to present. This is one stage where you can see all of the best shows and enjoy Indian food and socialize.
